toning properties. Walnuts contain a host of other

Walnut oil is a clear, grease less, penetrating oil,
that is a rich source of fatty acids
essential to maintaining the skin's cellular
integrity.

Our wheat germ is unrefined and has a very
distinctive scent.  Incredibly orange in
color, this is a favorite of ours to use in lotions,
scrubs and soap. It’s also very rich
in vitamin E, a natural antioxidant.
Witch Hazel
(Hamamelis virginiana)
Bark and leaves from the witch hazel tree are
distilled to produce a cooling, styptic
astringent.  This is a very common ingredient in
various cosmetics and is used as
a local anesthetic and astringent. It is made
from the twigs and leaves of
Hamamelis Virginiana.

Xanthan Gum
Xanthan gum is a polysaccharide (natural
sugar) fermented from corn sugar. Often
used in the food industry to thicken and
stabilize products. It can be added to
thicken a cosmetic product. It is difficult to
work with since it does not fully dissolve
in water.
Zinc Oxide
Zinc Oxide also has other beneficial properties. It
has been used as the active ingredient in baby
powder for decades to eliminate fungal infections
associated with diaper rash. Nanotechnology,
which is the science of making things
extraordinarily small, has produced the Zinc Oxide
used in Kabana products. It has an average
particle size of 55 nanometers, which is
equivalent to less than about a thousandth the
diameter of a human hair, or a tenth of the
