This treatment is for chronic dandruff sufferers. Chronic dandruff
occurs when the fungus known as Malassezia furfur grows out of
control and feeds on the oil or sebum secreted by the hair follicles.

All skin cells die and are subsequently replaced by new skin cells in a
never-ending cycle. In normal people this cycle takes about 1
month and is usually not noticeable. But on scalps were malassezia
thrives, the whole process can take as little as 11 days. The result
is that is a large number of dead skin cells, irritation, itching or

This interaction between malassezia and sebum causes irritation in
