Step 1: Clean Your Face & Neck
Morning Facial Care Routine
|
Step 2: Toner
Never ever sleep while still wearing your make-up.
This is perhaps the most cardinal rule when it comes to facial care.
Make-up that is left on overnight can clog the pores and trap the dead
skin cells inside with the hair follicles.
This may cause blackheads and even acne when not treated early. In
addition, chemicals on the skin will prevent the skin from
regenerating and breathing while you are asleep.
Apply a small amount to clean, dry fingertips and dab directly on
areas to be cleansed. Gently massage into the skin until the make-up
is removed. The make up remover could be removed with tissue,
cotton pad cotton or with water.

Step 3: Moisturizer
The best time to apply active products is right after you cleansed,
exfoliated and toned, when your skin is clean, warm and still
slightly moist. Next, apply a moisturizer that is for your skin type.
A moisturizer leaves the skin feeling softer and smoother.
It also helps smooth away fine lines and dryness.
Moisturizers are not created equal. Each has a purpose in your skin
care routine.
- If you have oily skin you are probably thinking you don't need moisturizers. This is a mistake, your skin
needs some moisture and putting the right kind of moisture into the skin protects it from becoming oily.
You can use a facial lotion, a facial cream for oily skin or a special oil to balance your skin.
- If you have sensitive skin you should look for products that are free of fragrances and dyes, as they can
cause skin irritation.
- If you have acne or blemished skin you can chose from our products in acne treatments.
Butters are used for intense moisturizing, are best for dry skin, mature skin, or dry weather conditions.
Creams are lighter than butters and provide good hydration and moisture to skin.
Lotions generally are very light to deliver moisture and nutrients as needed.
Oils designed for specific areas of concern that need intense protection and nutrients.
Anti-Aging specifically formulated with ingredients rich in anti-oxidants that aid in restoring lost the
skins' properties.
Acne Treatments created with moisturizers enriched with anti-bacterial ingredients that neutralize acne
and help prevent break-outs.
Are you making a big mistake each morning?
During the night your face and its pores accumulate natural oils and
other debris.
Each morning, if your face is not cleansed before applying skin care
products or makeup, the oils and debris from the previous night will
be covered.
This could be the beginning of many skin problems. Every morning
your face should be cleansed to prepare it for the coming day with
other moisturizers or make-up.
Use cold water to remove the soap. Then gently blot your face
with a towel.
Your morning facial care can be done in the shower or at the sink.
Don't stop now, this is only the beginning to a healthier
complexion.
Give your skin a chance to breathe.
You should apply toner to the skin on the face. Using toner helps to
remove any residues from soap, impurities or make-up that may
have been left behind.
A toner also helps restore the natural pH level of the skin, leaves
your skin clean, clear and ready to be hydrated.
Many chose not to use a toner in their daily skin care regime and
only use soap and moisturizers. This is a mistake, since toning is a
very important part of a daily facial skin care regime and serves
important functions.
- After cleansing your face with soap, the pores are open. As a result, moisture can leave the skin, which in
return dehydrates the skin. This is when a toner should be applied to remove any other residues and help
close the pores in preparation for a moisturizer.
- Closing of the pores has another benefit. It stops dust and other air born particles from settling in the
pores and potentially causing problems. In addition, good quality natural toners are anti-septic, provide
moisture and nutrients to the skin that prepare the skin for the next step in a skin care routine, the
moisturizer.
- If you have dry skin or normal skin
- If you have oily skin.
- If you have sensitive skin
- If you have acne or blemished skin:
Choose an acne toner to help remove and prevent blackheads and control acne.
As you can see, it is important to understand how to use each product in combination with other and how
this interaction can have positive effects when done correctly or a negative effect if done improperly. The
daily use of a facial toner plays a very important role in your skin care regime that will lead to a healthy
complexion.
Toners may be applied to a cotton pad or a cotton ball. Smooth over your face in long strokes and work
upward from the jaw line to the hairline, don't forget your neck. If your toner is a spritzer, close your eyes
and gently mist on face and neck. Dab any excess gently with a ball of cotton.
A toner is designed to close pores, stimulate circulation, and prepare the skin to absorb nutrition from
moisturizers like butters, creams, anti-aging, acne creams, oils and lotions that should be applied after
using a toner.
Apply moisturizer immediately after the toner, while your skin is still slightly damp. If using a facial oil,
use just 3-4 drops. Gently massage the moisturizer into your facial skin with smooth upward strokes. For
extra-dry areas, use a little additional moisturizer.
Is important to remember that our complexion can change. Dry skin today can change to blemished or
sensitive skin. Skin care products that you may have been using for years like a cosmetic or cream,
cannot change to meet the needs of your skin. As your skin changes you must always change your skin
care products to match your needs.
